Planting advises and drainage
| |
1. Moisturize profusely inside and outside the pottery before planting ;
2. Moisturize the roots of the plant ;
3. Put at first, at the bottom of the pot, clay balls (or pottery shards, or stones) so plant roots don't get waterlogged
4. Then, put a filtering cloth, sold in garden centres, which will stop the compost from mixing with the clay balls. While watering, the filtering cloth helps to keep terraces clean ;
5. Put feet under the pot to help the water run-off and to facilitate the air circulation ;
6. A regular nutritive supplement (fertilizer and trace-elements) is essential ;
